If you are an electronic cigarette user, or just interested in them, there are plenty of places to get them around Omaha. In my research, I’ve visited many tobacco shops and convenience stores from downtown to West O. Most tobacco shops are currently carrying at least one brand of electronic cigarette.
One thing I did notice was that of the stores carrying e-cigs, most only carried one brand and had few options for accessories and flavors. Several were low on or even completely out of stock. Let me tell you from experience: that does not work. It would be like going to your local Omaha convenience store to find that, not only were they out of your favorite brand of cigarettes, they were out of every brand.
When people switch from traditional tobacco cigarettes to the electronic version, they do not want to have their habit interrupted. I have not been so unlucky, but I have known several people who have run out of supplies and, having nowhere nearby to get more, instead bought a pack of cigarettes. That is to be avoided at all costs. In fact, the one cigarette I smoked after switching made me sick.
The other problem I’ve noticed is that a lot of the electronic cigarette kits available in Omaha today are poor quality. To be fair, there are good or even great ones out there as well. But to the uninitiated, it is hard if not impossible to tell the difference. To help remedy this, I plan to launch a site dedicated to letting people review e-cigs that are purchased online and in retail locations.
